The Overseas fully supports the Malta Marauders Vets Rugby Club.
The emphasis in Veterans rugby is on the social side, and players tend to take the game, and themselves, a little less seriously than in the regular game. This does not mean that games are not hotly contested, however. The will to win does not leave you as you age, it just becomes less of a priority.

Veterans rugby laws are basically the same as normal rugby laws, except that the games are usually shorter, and can involve some restrictions e.g. uncontested scrums, no lifting in the lineout, no conversion kicks. These depend on the age and fitness of the players, and are decided by both teams before the game. There are also rolling substitutions, and no restrictions on the number of substitutes used.

All registered Overseas players who reach the age of 35 are eligible to participate in any Marauders events and games, should they so wish.
